About the Artist

Born in Sydney and having lived in Paris and England, Sammy's creative journey began in her childhood, growing up with an artist mother who nurtured her love for art. This early exposure to creativity set the foundation for a lifelong passion, one that led her to study at the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales.

After her studies, Sammy made her mark by creating murals across Sydney, from vibrant bars and restaurants to office spaces. Since moving to the Northern Rivers, she has continued to bring her artistry to life, painting local murals, including a couple at Mr. Tipsy's in Lennox Head.

Now settled in the coastal town of Lennox Head with her husband, two daughters, and their beloved dog, Sammy balances family life with her role as a secondary art teacher. By day, she ignites creativity in her students; by night, her home studio becomes a creative sanctuary where she crafts semi-abstract mixed media paintings inspired by the stunning Northern Rivers seascapes.

Specialising in surf-inspired artwork, Sammy creates pieces that capture the dynamic energy of the ocean and coastal lifestyle. Her commissions, especially for surf families, are deeply personal, weaving the stories and passions of her clients into each unique creation. Whether on canvas or through large-scale murals, Sammy’s art evokes a sense of connection to the sea and the natural world that surrounds her.

Sharing her artistic journey with her daughters brings her immense joy, and together they explore creativity in every corner of their home. Inspired by the morning light, the rolling waves, and the serene beauty of the coast, Sammy’s work reflects a harmonious blend of creativity, family, and nature. Each piece she creates is a testament to her love for both her craft and the coastal life she treasures.
